Age Management Program FAQ’s

Who is Boca Rejuvenation and Wellness?

Boca Rejuvenation and Wellness has Doctors and Clinical Advisors on staff to develop individual plans for clients wishing to take advantage of Bioidentical Hormones, Testosterone and HGH treatments. For the right candidate, we replace hormones to levels that existed in your body at age 25 – 30. Since declining hormones cause us to age, it is logical that replacing those hormones would positively affect the aging clock, creating a more useful physiology. In addition to our staff in Florida, we have a network of board certified physicians and nurse practitioners across the U.S.. Our Doctors will schedule your blood work at a nationally accredited laboratory closest to your home or arrange for an in-house visit from a certified Phlebotomist. Based on your results, one of our BRW physicians will implement a hormone replacement protocol specifically for you.

What is Bio-identical Hormone Replacement?

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (“BHRT”) is the term commonly used to describe the treatment of hormone deficiencies brought on by aging, by replacing them with hormone molecules that are identical to the hormones produced naturally within the human body.

Hormones are responsible for controlling the delicate biochemical balance in our bodies. They move our bodies through each phase of our lives, from infancy through puberty, reproduction, and old age. They prepare our bodies to fight, to flee, and to mate, and they are responsible for many of our daily mood swings and hunger pangs. Hormones are produced by our cells in very small quantities, and trace amounts can have significant effects.

Does this really work?

Yes! This is not a fanciful search for the fountain of youth. It is medical science at it best. It is board certified doctors using sophisticated lab tests and treatment protocols to produce life-altering results.

How are hormones replaced?

Hormones are replaced by using either an injection or a topical cream formulated to your needs that’s applied to the skins surface in the morning and evening. Growth hormone is taken by daily injection, which is easy and painless.

How much hormone do I take?

The doctor will prescribe the proper amount for your individual case to stabilize your hormone levels at a point that you are achieving solid results. That will probably be the upper end of the normal and safe range as shown in lab tests. See hormone replacement.

What results can I expect?

Everyone is different but generally you can expect:

  • Week 1-2: Increase in mental sharpness, enthusiasm for life and an elimination of a mild to moderate depression that men acquire as testosterone, thyroid and or growth hormone declines.
  • Week 2-3: More energy, better results from exercise and weight control efforts, and you will want to be more active – maybe even feel like exercising.
  • Week 3-4: Increased sex drive, spontaneous morning erections

Is it safe?

There are numerous studies that have come out over the past 12 years that have attested to the safety of natural hormone replacement. We use only bio-identical hormones in our therapy. i.e. hormones equal in DNA structure to what the body produces natural.

Are there side effects?

If replacement is done properly and as guided by a knowledgeable physician, there will rarely be any negative side effects.

When should I think about replacing hormones?

The best time to start replacing hormones is between 35or 40, however it’s never too late. Typically hormones start to decrease by the mid to late 20s; although by 35 levels have dropped a sufficient amount. Symptoms become more and more apparent but no matter if your 35 or 80 we can help restore the youthful feeling you have lost.

Do I have to replace all hormones i.e. testosterone, growth hormone?

Hormones may be replaced separately or in any combination. Better results are obtained from taking a combination of hormones. We like to say there is a 1+1=3 relationship. We understand the cost limitation but the Potential Benefits far out-weigh the cost.

What is Progesterone?

Progesterone is one of the 2 main hormones (the other being estrogen) produced each month by the ovaries of menstruating women (and is produced in smaller amounts by the adrenals). It is the major female reproductive hormone during the latter 2 weeks of the menstrual cycle, made by the corpus luteum of the ovary. It is normal for the levels of progesterone to rise and fall during the monthly cycle. Progesterone production starts just before ovulation each month and increases rapidly after ovulation. It is what enables the fertilized egg to survive

Will hormone therapy help sexual dysfunction?

Yes hormone therapy is a good place to start with sexual dysfunction. Raising Testosterone levels in men and woman will help revive your sex drive. There are also other products and treatments available after talking with the Doctor.

Does growth hormone have to be injected?

It is the only medically proven way Growth Hormone or Sermorelin can enter the body and be absorbed correctly, and it is similar to insulin injections.
